Nauset Beach Light
Eastham, MA
The tower was built in 1877 and was originally located in Chatham – then moved to its present location in 1923 to replace one of the Three Sisters Lights. Because of constant beach erosion, the tower was moved further inland in 1996.
Identifying characteristics of this privately maintained lighthouse are two alternating flashes, white and red every 10 seconds that can be seen for twenty miles. She stands 114’ above sea level. Her daylight tower colors are red top and white bottom.
This is a beautiful place and worth your time to see.
