Diamond Head Light A

Honolulu, hi

First built in 1899 and rebuilt in 1917, this beautiful lady stands sentinel over Waikiki Beach while guiding mariners into Pearl Harbor.

She holds her head high at one hundred and forty seven feet and beckons to sailors with two occulted white lights flashing every ten seconds. She is visible from seaward for fourteen miles.

Diamond Head light is an active aid to navigation and was automated in 1924.
