Cape Blanco Light
port orford, or
She began service on December 20, 1870 when her oil lamp was lit for the first time.
Her light is perched 245 feet above sea level and can be seen from 26 miles away. A flashing white light at twenty-second intervals reveals her position at night.
I read somewhere that this beautiful lighthouse is unique because she is the oldest active lighthouse in Oregon, and the most westerly, her light is the highest in the state (245') and she boasts the first woman lighthouse keeper in Oregon.
